Wedding Vows by Text! Well Not Exactly…

Category : Humor, YouTube

Text Messaging has gotten out of hand. It seems every time you turn your head, someone is looking down at their phone texting. What you are about to see takes the phenomenon to an entirely different level. And it’s bad, realllly bad!

I have attached a link to a video of one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen. It is an authentic home video made of a wedding ceremony that took place in California a few years ago. As you will see, the bride receives a text message on her cellphone in the middle of the ceremony, looks at it, and has the audacity to respond! Please somebody help me here. Since when did bigamy become legal because she is obviously already married…to her cellphone! Why on earth does she have her cell phone? What on earth could she possibly be texting about? Are you kidding me?? Please take note of the incredibly sad but wickedly funny facial expression on the poor guy’s face.

One question for the females out there:

+ Could you ever come up with a justification for having a cellphone in your wedding dress during the ceremony?

One question for the guys:

+ Would this one instance be enough to call off the wedding and end the relationship?

{You damn skippy}

    I once went out with one of my friends in a group for a fun-filled night. By the time we got home and I checked my FB for the first time that night, she had already updated her status at least 7 times, recounting EVERY little thing that happened. Another time I went to dinner with a friend who had been after me to hang out with her for months only to have her texting some boy she liked the whole time. Whatever happened to saying, “I’m at dinner. I’ll call you later.” Needless to say, I didn’t hang out with her again.

    It’s not just the ladies who are guilty of texting. When I’m out and about, my cell phone stays tucked away in my purse unless I need to check the time. It’s like the good ol days when, if I wasn’t home, I couldn’t be reached. It was a good lesson in patience. These days, be it guys or girls, my friends ALWAYS have their phones on the ready; like a text can’t wait, but the person right in front of you can! SMH. I personally feel that, unless you have a baby or small kids that need to be checked on, there’s no excuse for having your phone out when you’re out. If you feel a buzz, check it to make sure it’s not an emergency. If it isn’t, put that ish away, ya hurd?

    That being said, cell phones do have their advantages, and I’m glad we have them. We, as a society, just need to work on self control.

    Well i couldnt see the video. But by what you described to me she doesnt care….Maybe he should have sent her a text saying he changed his mind while she was doing that. Now that would have been funny.
